The Good Participation Practices Award (PBPP) is an annual initiative developed by the Participatory Municipalities Network and aims to encourage the implementation, dissemination and enhancement of innovative participatory democracy practices developed in Portugal.

Who can apply?

All municipalities that are members of the Participatory Municipalities Network and whose practices meet the eligibility criteria set out in the Award's Regulations can take part.

Calendar

​​The timetable is defined annually and announced in good time to all members of the Network.

Best practice of the decade: Cascais Participatory Budget, by the Municipality of Cascais; 

Honourable mention for good municipal practice: Participatory project in disadvantaged communities to promote public housing (1º Direito), by the Municipality of Maia;

Honourable mention for good parish practice: Youth Participatory Budget, from the Parish Union of Massamá and Monte Abraão; 

Best inclusive practice: Participatory project in disadvantaged communities to promote public housing (1º Direito) and Labic MaiaINCLUI - Anta, both promoted by the Municipality of Maia.
