Rede de Autarquias Participativas (RAP)

Created on December 3, 2014, the Participatory Local Authority Network (RAP) is a collaborative structure that brings together parishes and municipalities committed to the development of forms of participatory democracy in Portugal.

RAP has become the main national platform for promoting and qualifying public participation, favoring the creation of work tools, the design of new and innovative initiatives, the exchange of experiences, the training of teams, the production of scientific knowledge and international cooperation.

The Network carries out a wide range of activities annually, among which the following stand out: holding regional forums, training actions and collaborative workshops across the country; editing guides on participatory methodologies; organization of the National Award for Good Participation Practices; promotion of international partnerships and exchanges, among others. Joining the Network can be done at any time, simply by filling out the form available at this address.
