Presidency of the Network of Participatory Municipalities Elected for the 2026–2027 Term

The electoral process for the election of the Presidency of the Network of Participatory Municipalities (RAP) for the 2026–2027 term concluded yesterday.

Following the close of the voting period, the participation of the Network’s members was recorded. The results confirmed the election of the only list submitted (List A), which received 100% of the valid votes cast, with no blank votes registered.

In accordance with the electoral regulations in force, the following composition of the Presidency of the Network of Participatory Municipalities is hereby elected for the 2026–2027 term:

Vice-Presidencies

  • Braga City Council

  • Funchal City Council

  • Guimarães City Council

  • Lagoa City Council (Azores)

  • Lagoa City Council (Algarve)

  • Lourinhã City Council

  • Odemira City Council

  • Tavira City Council

  • Torres Vedras City Council

  • Valongo City Council

  • Union of the Parishes of Massamá and Monte Abraão

The Network of Participatory Municipalities congratulates the elected local authorities and expresses its appreciation to all members who took part in this process, reaffirming the collective commitment to strengthening participatory democracy, intermunicipal cooperation, and democratic innovation at the local level.

The newly elected Presidency will take office at the beginning of the 2026–2027 term, continuing the work developed by the Network and fostering new forms of collaboration among its members.
